A Personal Development & Life Skills Journey

After-School Programme | Ages 10-14 | 12 Interactive Sessions Over 3 Months

He Knew the Answer. He Just Didn't Raise His Hand.

Only 1 in 4 young people say they actually feel confident speaking in front of others. The rest are quietly waiting for someone to help them find that confidence.

If that sentence sounds familiar, you’ve probably lived it. Your child comes home and tells you the answer they knew but didn’t say. Or you watch them go quiet the moment a room fills up with new faces. Or you notice how much easier it is for them to text a friend than to actually talk to one.

You’re not imagining it, and you’re not alone in noticing it. It’s a genuine, widely felt struggle for children this age, and it rarely has anything to do with intelligence or ability. Most schools do a wonderful job academically, but structured life skills training tends to fall through the cracks. Add in the amount of time kids spend on screens today, and it makes complete sense that so many bright, capable children still hold themselves back from speaking up.

That’s exactly the gap Grace & Growth’s Personal Development & Life Skills Programme was built to fill. Over 12 sessions across 3 months, a certified public speaking and voice coach and our personal development team work directly with your child through interactive activities, group discussions, role plays, and real-life scenarios, helping them find the confidence to step forward instead of holding back.

Building Confidence. Shaping Character. Preparing for Life.

1. The Quiet Struggle Every Professional Recognises

You’ve worked hard to get where you are. Your work speaks for itself, or at least it should. But somewhere in the room, in the meeting, at the client dinner, something else is doing the talking too: how you walk in, how you shake a hand, how steady your voice sounds when it matters most.

If you’ve ever caught yourself in any of these moments, you’re not alone:

  • You know your ideas are strong, but you hesitate before speaking up in a meeting
  • You second-guess your outfit, your posture, or your handshake before a big introduction
  • Client dinners and formal events make you more anxious than the actual pitch does
  • You’ve avoided a leadership opportunity because it meant more visibility, not less
  • You’re excellent at your role, but you’re not sure you look or sound the part yet
  • You want people to remember you for the right reasons, and you’re not always sure they do

None of this means you’re underqualified. It usually means you haven’t had a structured space to build the presence and communication skills that match the expertise you already have. That’s precisely the space this programme, and our personality development workshops for schools and colleges preparing the next generation of professionals, are designed to create.

2. Where Confidence Begins to Take Shape

We’re not running a class here. We’re building an experience.

Our Personal Development & Life Skills After-School Programme gives children aged 10 to 14 a dedicated space, free of judgement, to work on confidence, communication, emotional awareness, and social ease. This happens over 12 interactive sessions spread across 3 months, guided by a certified public speaking and voice coach alongside our personal development team.

This isn’t tuition. It isn’t therapy, either. It’s hands-on personality development, available as a school or college workshop or through our individual after-school batches. Everything we do comes back to one simple idea: children don’t build confidence by being told to have it. They build it by practising, in a safe space, again and again, until it becomes second nature.

3. The 12-Session Journey to a More Confident Self

Each session builds on the one before it, so the growth happens gradually and sticks. Here’s what your child will work through, session by session.

01. Confidence Building & Self-Esteem Building self-belief, practising positive self-talk, and learning to actually celebrate their own strengths.

02. Mindfulness & Emotional Well-Being Understanding emotions, learning simple mindfulness practices, and finding ways to stay calm and focused.

03. Personal Grooming & Hygiene Daily hygiene habits, staying neat and clean, and dressing with confidence.

04. Posture, Poise & Presence Good posture, a sense of poise, and simply carrying themselves well in any room.

05. Body Language & Non-Verbal Communication Reading body cues, holding eye contact, and using positive expressions, all core skills covered in our public speaking and voice coaching sessions.

06. Table Manners & Dining Etiquette Table setting basics, polite dining habits, and genuine gratitude.

07. Social Etiquette & Respectful Behaviour Good manners, empathy, and kindness put into everyday action.

08. Effective Communication Skills Listening actively, speaking clearly, and expressing thoughts with confidence, guided directly by our public speaking and voice coach to help each child find their own speaking voice.

09. First Impressions & Personal Presentation Making a strong first impression, introducing themselves well, and being memorable for the right reasons.

10. Digital Etiquette & Responsible Conduct Safe online behaviour, being kind and respectful online, and finding a healthy screen time balance.

11. Self-Awareness & Positive Habits Understanding themselves better, building good habits, and developing a more positive mindset.

12. Goal Setting & Personal Growth Setting real, achievable goals, staying motivated, and growing a little more every day.

4. The Method Behind the Transformation

Kids don’t learn confidence by being lectured at. They learn it by doing. So every session draws on:

  • Interactive Activities, hands-on exercises that make ideas stick
  • Group Discussions, building comfort speaking up in front of others
  • Role Plays & Simulations, practising real situations in a safe space
  • Fun Learning Games, confidence built through play, not pressure
  • Real-Life Scenarios, applying what they learn to situations they actually face
  • Reflection & Practice, giving each session time to settle in before moving on

5. What Your Child Will Carry Forward

By the end of the programme, your child should be able to:

  • Communicate confidently and respectfully
  • Build self-esteem and self-awareness
  • Practise good manners and social etiquette
  • Improve posture, body language, and overall presence
  • Develop positive habits and better emotional well-being
  • Apply all of it to everyday life, at school, at home, and beyond

6. The Transformation You Can Expect

Here’s what parents and educators tend to notice by the end:

  • More Confidence & Self-Belief. A child who speaks up and stands a little taller.
  • Better Relationships & Social Skills. More ease around peers, teachers, and family.
  • A More Positive Mindset. A healthier, more resilient way of looking at things.
  • Life Skills for Academic & Personal Success. Habits that carry over into the classroom and beyond.

“Small steps today, strong foundation tomorrow.”

7. Bringing This Journey to Your School or College

Looking for a personality development workshop for schools or colleges? Deck 1 of our Personal Development & Life Skills Programme works just as well as an in-school workshop as it does an after-school batch, with the same public speaking and voice coach-led curriculum, adapted to fit your institution’s schedule and group size. Group A is built for ages 10 to 14. Reach out and we can talk through what a batch would look like for your students.

8. Begin the Conversation

Every child starts from a different place, and their path forward looks a little different too. Book a free consultation with our team, and let’s talk about where your child is right now, and what these 12 sessions could look like for them.

Seats are limited per batch, so every child gets the attention they need.

9. Explore Our Other Programmes

Grace & Growth also runs a Personal Development & Life Skills Programme for ages 14 to 18 (Group B), focused on leadership and career readiness, and a Professional Excellence Programme for working professionals, entrepreneurs and corporate teams. Ask us about either during your consultation.

10. Questions Parents Often Ask

Is this the same as tuition or coaching classes?

No. This is a personality development and life skills experience, not academic tuition. We focus on confidence, communication, and character, not subjects or grades.

Yes, and honestly, this programme tends to be especially valuable for quieter kids. Our public speaking and voice coach works with every child at their own pace, in a supportive, non-judgmental group setting.

Sessions are interactive and hands-on: role plays, group discussions, learning games, and real-life scenarios. No lectures, no worksheets. Kids learn by doing.

Schools focus on academics, and rightly so. But structured life skills training, things like confidence, communication, etiquette, and emotional well-being, usually gets very little space in a school day. This after-school programme, and our in-school workshops, are built specifically to fill that gap.

There are 12 sessions spread across 3 months. Each one builds on what came before, starting with confidence building in Session 1 and working up to goal setting in Session 12.

The Grace & Growth team leads every session, including a certified public speaking and voice coach with years of experience in personality development, image consulting, and mindfulness coaching, all adapted thoughtfully for children aged 10 to 14.

Both. We run Deck 1 as an after-school programme for individual enrolments, and as an in-school personality development workshop for schools and colleges. Reach out and we’ll figure out the best fit for your child or your institution.

Start with a free consultation. We’ll get to know your child, or your institution’s needs, answer your questions, and walk you through enrollment or scheduling from there.
