You Have 7 Seconds. Are You Using Them?

Research shows people form a first impression within seconds, long before you’ve said much at all. Still Have Questions? We've Got Answers.

1. Is a personal pitch the same thing as an elevator pitch?

Essentially yes, it’s a short, structured introduction, usually 30 to 60 seconds, that covers who you are, what you do, and why it matters to the person listening. The training here goes further, working on delivery and presence alongside the words themselves, so it doesn’t come across as scripted.

Yes. Much of the discomfort comes from not having a clear structure to fall back on. Once you’ve built and practiced a pitch that genuinely fits you, the anxiety of what do I even say mostly disappears, because you’re not improvising under pressure anymore.

Not if it’s built correctly. The goal isn’t memorising a script word for word, it’s internalising key points, who you are, what you offer, what you’re looking for, well enough that you can deliver them conversationally and adapt them to whoever you’re speaking with.

It applies anywhere a first impression matters: client meetings, investor conversations, social introductions, even walking into a room at an event. The same core skills, clarity, warmth, and confident delivery, transfer across every one of those settings.

A quick test: can you introduce yourself in under a minute without rambling, going blank, or downplaying what you do? If not, that’s exactly the gap this session is built to close, with a personal pitch that’s clear, structured, and easy to deliver naturally.
