After-School Programme | Ages 14-18 | 12 Interactive Sessions Over 3 Months
Only 25% of 16 to 24 year olds say they feel confident speaking in front of an audience, compared to 69% of adults over 45. Confidence isn’t something teens are missing. It’s something they haven’t had the chance to practise yet.
If that sentence sounds familiar, you’re probably watching it happen right now. Maybe it’s your teenager freezing up before a class presentation. Maybe it’s the anxiety creeping in around interviews and college applications, or the discomfort of walking into a room full of strangers. Or simply how much easier a text feels than saying the same thing out loud.
You’re far from the only parent thinking about this. It’s a real, common struggle for teenagers right as they’re stepping into some of the biggest decisions of their lives. Schools focus heavily on academics, and for good reason, but structured training in leadership, professional presence, and self-management often gets left out entirely. And with so much of teen life happening on screens, real world social and professional skills don’t always get the practice they need to actually develop.
That’s exactly the gap Grace & Growth’s Personal Development & Life Skills Programme was built to fill for teens aged 14 to 18. Over 12 sessions across 3 months, a certified public speaking and voice coach and our personal development team work directly with your teenager through experiential learning, case studies, role plays, and real-life applications, helping them walk into their future with confidence instead of hesitation.
Empowering Teens. Preparing Leaders. Shaping Futures.
You know your teenager has so much going for them. You’ve seen the ambition at home, the strong opinions at dinner, the flashes of real potential when they’re comfortable and among people they trust. So why does so much of that disappear the moment they’re in front of a class, a panel, or a stranger?
That gap between who they are at home and who they become in the real world is something almost every parent of a 14 to 18 year old quietly worries about.
If you’re the parent of a 14 to 18 year old, some of this might sound familiar:
None of this means anything is wrong with your teenager. It usually just means they haven’t had a real space to practise leadership and professional presence, the same way they’d train for a sport or an instrument. That’s the gap our personality development workshop for schools, colleges, and individual families is designed to close.
We’re not running a class here. We’re building an experience.
Our Personal Development & Life Skills After-School Programme gives teens aged 14 to 18 a dedicated space to work on confidence, communication, leadership, and professional presence. This happens over 12 interactive sessions spread across 3 months, guided by a certified public speaking and voice coach alongside our personal development team.
This isn’t tuition, and it isn’t therapy either. It’s hands-on personality development, available as a school or college workshop or through our individual after-school batches. Everything we do comes back to one idea: teenagers don’t become confident leaders by being told to act like one. They get there by practising real skills, in a safe space, again and again, until it becomes who they are.
Each session builds on the one before it, so the growth happens gradually and sticks. Here’s what your teenager will work through, session by session.
01. Confidence Building & Self-Esteem Building inner confidence, learning to overcome self-doubt, and recognising their own personal strengths.
02. Mindfulness & Emotional Well-Being Managing stress and anxiety, practising mindfulness, and building emotional balance.
03. Personal Grooming & Style Personal hygiene, dressing appropriately for different occasions, and developing their own personal style.
04. Posture, Poise & Presence Confident posture, staying poised under pressure, and learning to command a room.
05. Body Language & Non-Verbal Communication Reading body language, understanding non-verbal cues, and building trust and rapport through presence alone.
06. Table Manners & Dining Etiquette Formal dining rules, navigating dining at events, and understanding global etiquette norms.
07. Social Etiquette & Professional Behaviour Professional manners, respect and inclusivity, and genuine cultural awareness.
08. Effective Communication Skills Public speaking basics, persuasive communication, and confident self-expression, all built directly with our public speaking and voice coach.
09. First Impressions & Personal Branding Creating a strong first impression, developing a personal brand, and nailing the elevator pitch.
10. Digital Etiquette & Online Presence Responsible digital use, social media etiquette, and managing their digital footprint.
11. Self-Awareness & Leadership Mindset Knowing their own values, developing leadership qualities, and building a growth mindset.
12. Goal Setting & Career Readiness Setting future goals, planning for success, and exploring career paths with clarity.
Teenagers don’t build leadership skills by being lectured at. They build them by doing. So every session draws on:
By the end of the programme, your teenager should be able to:
Here’s what parents and educators tend to notice by the end:
“Learn today. Lead tomorrow. Leave a legacy.”
Looking for a personality development workshop for schools or colleges? Deck 2 of our Personal Development & Life Skills Programme works just as well as an in-school or in-college workshop as it does an after-school batch, with the same public speaking and voice coach-led curriculum, adapted to fit your institution’s schedule and group size. Group B is built for ages 14 to 18. Reach out and we can talk through what a batch would look like for your students.
Every teenager starts from a different place, and their path forward looks a little different too. Book a free consultation with our team, and let’s talk about where your teenager is right now, and what these 12 sessions could look like for them.
Seats are limited per batch, so every teenager gets the attention they need.
Grace & Growth also runs a Personal Development & Life Skills Programme for ages 10 to 14 (Group A), focused on early confidence and social skills, and a Professional Excellence Programme for working professionals, entrepreneurs and corporate teams, a natural next step once your teenager enters the workforce. Ask us about either during your consultation.
No. This is a personality development and life skills experience, not academic tuition. We focus on confidence, communication, and leadership, not subjects or grades.
Yes, and honestly, this programme tends to be especially valuable for more reserved teens. Our public speaking and voice coach works with each teenager at their own pace, in a supportive, non-judgmental group setting.
Sessions are experiential and hands-on: case studies, role plays, peer discussions, and real-life applications. No lectures, no worksheets. Teens learn by doing.
Schools focus on academics, and rightly so. But structured training in leadership, professional presence, digital responsibility, and self-management usually gets very little space in a school day. This after-school programme, and our in-school workshops, are built specifically to fill that gap.
There are 12 sessions spread across 3 months. Each one builds on what came before, starting with confidence building in Session 1 and working up to goal setting and career readiness in Session 12.
The Grace & Growth team leads every session, including a certified public speaking and voice coach with years of experience in personality development, image consulting, and mindfulness coaching, all tailored for teens aged 14 to 18.
Both. We run Deck 2 as an after-school programme for individual enrolments, and as an in-school or in-college personality development workshop. Reach out and we’ll figure out the best fit for your teenager or your institution.
Start with a free consultation. We’ll get to know your teenager, or your institution’s needs, answer your questions, and walk you through enrollment or scheduling from there.
